About

I'm Scott Rhodes — a senior product manager with twenty-five years in data systems, working across federal contracting, DoD program management, and enterprise software for regulated industries.

The systems we actually use were built assuming a human is on the other end — login flows, authorization models, audit logs, all of it. AI breaks that assumption, and almost none of the infrastructure underneath is ready. I call that gap the human integration layer, and rebuilding it is the work of the next decade. I laid out the full argument in Built for Humans.

I'm building at the governance layer — a runtime that treats AI agents as a distinct actor class, with their own authorization model, audit trail, and aggregation policy. This site is where I work through the rest of it: AI governance, knowledge-graph architecture, data provenance, and why most compliance frameworks miss the enforcement layer entirely.
